NESAC recruitment 2020 will soon be conducted through walk-in-interviews for 110 project assistant vacancies. North Eastern Space Applications Centre (NESAC) is an autonomous body set up under the joint initiative of the Department of Space (DOS) and the North Eastern Council (NEC). The vacancies available are for a project titled “Geotagging of assets created under NERTPS Programme of Central Silk Board”. Selected candidates will be eligible for a salary of Rs 16,000 per month plus additional incentives.

Who can Apply for NESAC Recruitment 2020?

The Geotagging of assets will be carried out with GPS aided Geo-augmented Navigation (GAGAN) based mobile app developed by NESAC specifically for the purpose of this project. Therefore, the project assistants will be recruited in the states in proportion of the assets to be surveyed (geotagged) by conducting walk-in interviews in the respective State Remote Sensing Centres.

Candidates interested to apply are required to have a graduate degree in any discipline or a diploma in any engineering subject from a recognized university or Institute obtaining a minimum aggregate of 45 percent marks. The candidates should also have basic computer knowledge. Knowledge on the operation of smartphones and the internet will be prerequisite criteria for the selection of candidates. Energetic and tech-savvy candidates will be preferred considering the job requirement. Furthermore, age of the candidates should not exceed 32 years.

Interested and eligible candidates need to apply for walk-in-interviews, which will be conducted across different North Eastern states over several days. Preference will be given to the candidates belonging to the state for which recruitment is made considering the nature of the job.
