IIT recruitment 2020 is at present being conducted at the Indian Institute of Technology Jammu (IIT Jammu) for 39 non-teaching or staff vacancies. The vacancies available are that of scientific officer, technical officer, assistant executive engineer, assistant engineer, junior technical superintendent, junior engineer and so on. Selected candidates will be eligible for a salary of up to Rs 2,18,200 based on their qualifications and the post they are selected for.
Who can Apply for IIT Recruitment 2020?
According to the official notification issued on the IIT Jammu website, there are a total of 39 vacancies of which engineers and technicians can apply for 26 vacancies. The number of vacancies and designations available for engineers and technicians is as follows: scientific officer – 1, technical officer – 2, assistant executive engineer (electrical) – 1, assistant engineer (civil) – 1, junior technical superintendent – 16, junior engineer (civil) – 1, and senior laboratory assistant – 4.
There are also various other vacancies such as sports registrar, assistant security, fire and safety officer, assistant sports officer, caretaker-cum manager, senior assistant, junior library information assistant, and junior assistant.
How to Apply for IIT Recruitment 2020?
Interested and eligible candidates need to apply online on the official IIT Jammu website. Candidates are also required to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs 1000 or 500 based on the post that has to be paid through the link provided inside the portal. However, SC, ST, PwD category and women candidates need not pay any application fee. Candidates who have successfully submitted their applications online have to ensure that their application number appears in the list which would be available after the last date of the advertisement on the website. Only those candidates who have successfully completed and submitted the application and paid the requisite fees shall find their application number listed on IIT Jammu website.
