The SNAP test is for the aspirants who want to join the MBA/MSci(CA,SS) programmes which are offered by the Symbiosis International University. The test is widely known as Symbiosis National Aptitude online test. It is one of the most popular management entrance exams in the India. For appearing in the examination, the candidate has to register for the SNAP online test on the official website. The candidate has to also register for the institutes which are offering his/her choice of courses by paying for the separate programme registration fee. If the candidate is shortlisted, then he/she will have to attend the GE-PIWAT which is conducted by each institute individually. For applying for the SNAP exam 2018, the candidates need to visit the official portal.

Admission procedure

The admission procedure involves the following four stages-

  • The online entrance test registration- The first step is to apply for the online test through the official website. After the filling of the form, the payment has to be made and the institutes as per the choices and requirements of the course have to be selected. It is a mandatory process. The list of the cities where the test has to be conducted should be gone through in the official website. The programme eligibility and the process for the international candidates have to be scrutinized properly in order to learn the application process clearly.
  • The next step is to go through the SNAP test structure and the important instructions regarding the admit card along with the guidelines regarding the test in order to appear for the entrance test.
  • After the result is declared, the short listing and selection process takes place. The score card will tell you the scores and you can further apply in your favorite colleges. After this, it’s time to wait for the merit list for further counseling regarding the same. The score card is available on the official website of the examination.
  • The merit list will be declared. The admission will take place on the basis of merit list provided after the declaration of the result. While filling the application form, the candidate should provide correct name, date of birth and mobile number and e-mail address, because these are few details which cannot be changed once the registration is complete.

How to apply

The following steps should be followed in order to apply for the SNAP test-

  • The first step is to apply online for the test on the official website before the closing date of the process. No changes can be performed after the closing of the registration process. While filling the application form, it is crucial for the candidate to upload the latest scanned passport size photographs at the time of online registration. The accurate information has to be provided in the application form.
  • The second step is the payment. The candidate can pay through the Billdesk Gateway or Indian Bank Gateway or Axis Bank Gateway or demand draft. The application fee is 1750INR plus the payment gateway charges or any other taxes or GST. The candidates can also submit a demand draft of 2065INR which will include 1750INR as the SNAP test fee and 315INR will be the 18% GST. The demand draft has to be submitted in the favor of ‘Symbiosis Test Secretariat’ which will be payable at Pune. The ‘Make payment’ tab has to be selected to choose the payment option. Exam pattern

The SNAP Examination has the following subjects-

  • English section includes reading comprehension, verbal reasoning and verbal ability
  • Quantitative, data sufficiency and data interpretation
  • General knowledge which includes current affairs
  • Analytical and logical reasoning

The English, quantitative aptitude and reasoning section is of 40 marks each. The general knowledge section is of 30 marks. The total marks are 150. The duration of the test is 120 minutes. It is an objective type test and each question has four choices, the candidate has to choose the most appropriate answer. There is negative marking as well. 25% is deducted as negative marking for the wrong answers. There are various things which are gone through before the start of the examination such as the admit card verification, bio metric evaluation, finger scans and so on.

Eligibility criteria

The candidates applying for the examination should be the graduates from a recognized university with at least 50% marks for the general candidates and 45% marks for the SC/ST candidates. The specialization needs to be checked from the official website before applying for the courses. In case the candidate has a qualifying degree of a foreign university then an equivalence certificate has to be obtained from the Association of Indian Universities. This is applicable for all the foreign universities.
